Responsibilities & Duties:

• Team Management:
• Lead and manage a team of engineers, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the engineering team.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers to support their professional development and growth.
• Project Management:
• Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects within the steel and metal industry, ensuring adherence to budget, timeline, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, operations, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues to ensure project success.
• Engineering Design and Development:
• Provide technical expertise and guidance in the design and development of steel and metal products, processes, and systems.
• Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in engineering processes and technologies to enhance product quality and efficiency.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and quality management systems.
• Implement and maintain quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure the highest standards of product quality and safety.
• Investigate and address any quality issues or non-conformities, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
• Strategic Planning and Business Development:
• Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic plans and objectives for the engineering department, aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
• Identify opportunities for business growth and expansion within the steel and metal industry, leveraging engineering expertise and capabilities.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Metallurgical, or related field).
• Proven experience in engineering management within the steel and metal industry.
• Strong technical knowledge and expertise in steel and metal fabrication processes, materials, and technologies.
• Demonstrated experience in project management, including planning, execution, and risk management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards applicable to the steel and metal industry.
