Take advantage of new opportunities and take on exciting tasks and attractive positions with direct customer assignment.Position Summary:Responsible for the direction and performance of the overall Project PMC team with respect to the design management Services to ensure the Services are performed in conformance with the project objectives and requirements. Reports to the Project Director and assists the Project Managers, Construction Managers, Commissioning Manager, and the Procurement/Contracts Manager with all design related matters. The Engineering Manager is responsible for the coordination of any home office engineering reviews.Duties and Responsibilities:
Works with the Project Director and the Contractors to provide a safe, high-quality design that meets or exceeds Project requirements and minimizes life-cycle costs
Leads and manages all aspects of the Project detailed design that Consultant is responsible for (preparation, submittal, design quality control, etc.)
Leads and manages the review of the FEED and EPC Contractors' designs for compliance with the Project requirements
Manages the review of the FEED and EPC Contractor designs, ensuring that comments/approvals are provided in a timely manner and in accordance with the applicable Contract
Participates in key design reviews such as P&ID reviews, HAZOP, model reviews, etc.
Assists the Project Director in the development and implementation of Project Procedures and Plans
Monitors Contractor engineering progress and productivity and recommend corrective actions as required to maintain Project objectives
Maintain a risk register and effective mitigation plans for potential risks to the engineering phase of the Project
Acts as the focal point for all technical queries from the Contractors
QualificationsProficient in managing and directing people, communications (both written and verbal), negotiation skills, and computer skills with Microsoft Office products
B.Sc. in any Engineering discipline or equivalent College degree
15 to 20 years engineering experience
8 to 10 years experience in Engineering Management of water treatment and transmission projects
Recognized industry experience and expertise
