Over the years, we've expanded our operations to Bahrain, Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and secured a strategic shareholding in Hepsiemlak, the leading property portal in Turkey. Position summary



We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team of software engineers working on cutting-edge products. You will guide the team's work, mentor engineers, and ensure projects are delivered on time. The ideal candidate has technical knowledge as well as strong leadership and communication skills. This position offers the opportunity to impact the product experience for millions of consumers. This is a highly visible role for an innovative leader passionate about building world-class consumer experiences.




Key Responsibilities:


• Work with Business Stakeholders, Product Managers in order to shape priorities and technical roadmap
• Sprint planning, execution, stakeholder management
• Mentor team members, jointly develop & execute professional growth plan
• Leadership & guidance on system design and architecture
• Technical hands-on leadership (i.e. PR reviews, PoC and prototyping etc.)

• Persistent stores: MySQL, Postgres, Redis. Memcached, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, DynamoDB

Our legacy architecture includes PHP and we are mostly transitioning into Golang for backend services.




Essential experience


• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of delivering products
• Experience leading and mentoring software engineers
• Expertise in current software development technologies, frameworks, and methodologies
• Strong technical knowledge and coding abilities in one or more programming languages
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to influence decisions
• An understanding of web standards, accessibility, UI/UX principles and responsive design
• Proficient capabilities in system design, troubleshooting, debugging and automation
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical implementation




Other Capabilities


• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Knowledge of lean and continuous delivery principles
• Ability to debug and optimise code efficiency
• Understanding of cloud architecture
• Data analytics skills
• Experience with AWS cloud services and container orchestration platforms like EKS
• Experience with Typescript, GraphQL, WebAssembly or other emerging technologies
• Passion for shipping high-quality consumer experiences
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
• Self-directed and innovative problem-solver passionate about shipping quality experiences
