As an Engineering Manager, you'll play a pivotal role as a technical leader, overseeing multiple teams across various projects and working closely with Project Managers and Product Owners. Your responsibility will be to drive technical alignment, manage team performance, and deliver innovative solutions that meet both business and technical requirements.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities • Team Leadership and Management:
+ Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of software engineers to achieve technical and professional excellence.
+ Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
+ Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and support career development for team members.
• Collaboration:
+ Build and sustain strong working relationships within the Project Team, contributing effectively to meet project objectives.
• Technical Oversight:
+ Develop and review technical designs that provide a comprehensive solution roadmap, ensuring adaptability for future business and technical needs.
+ Provide guidance on architectural decisions, technical design, and implementation.
+ Ensure the team adheres to best practices in coding, testing, and DevOps processes.
+ Act as a technical advisor and hands-on contributor when needed.
• Agile Development:
+ Translate abstract business needs into actionable stories, coordinating with Product Owners and teams to deliver effectively within an Agile framework.
• Project Management:
+ Plan and prioritize engineering efforts in alignment with company goals and product roadmaps.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, UX, etc.) to define and deliver features.
+ Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure on-time delivery.
• Strategic Contribution:
+ Participate in strategic planning and roadmap discussions with leadership.
+ Identify opportunities for process improvements and advocate for technical innovations.
+ Drive alignment between engineering efforts and business objectives.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
+ Serve as the primary point of contact between engineering and other departments.
+ Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders to ensure shared understanding.
• Operations:
+ DevOps & Cloud Deployment: Utilize DevOps methodologies to deploy secure, efficient code in cloud-based environments, supporting rapid and reliable delivery.
+ Test Automation: Collaborate on test and automation strategies, incorporating techniques such as Test-Driven Development (TDD) to ensure code quality.
+ Performance Management: Monitor and uphold performance metrics and SLAs, developing automated performance tests as needed.
+ System Monitoring: Oversee system monitoring processes, managing alerts and addressing anomalies proactively.
+ Continuous Improvement: Drive code quality by participating in code reviews, refactoring legacy code, and improving code coverage and performance.
+ UX Collaboration: Work closely with UX designers and front-end developers to deliver a cohesive and intuitive user experience.
+ Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation, including design documents, run books, and developer guides, to support teams and streamline operations.
• Technology Trends:
+ Stay informed on emerging technologies and development trends, applying them to drive innovation and technical excellence.
• Comply with QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment), Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance Management and Governance of Organizations policies, procedures, plans and related risk assessments.

Performance will be assessed based on measurable achievements, such as cost savings, reductions in productivity loss, defect-free delivery, adherence to policies and standards, and customer satisfaction scores.
Qualifications:
Qualifications • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 15 years in software engineering, with expertise in backend services, design patterns, and cloud-hosted infrastructure; at least 5 years in an AI service or analytics setting.
• Leadership: Proven track record in team management with a passion for developing talent.
• Experience in either Azure cloud, or on Premise servers.
• Proven expertise in deployment tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Ansible, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
