Our Emirates Engineering Facilities department is dedicated to creating and maintaining premier environments for all engineering needs. From state-of-the-art hangars and workshops to efficient material stores, offices, and training spaces, we ensure every facility supports and enhances engineering excellence. We manage electrical power, air conditioning, fire safety, cleaning, specialized equipment, landscaping, and compressed air systems, while supporting facility expansion and maintenance.An Engineering Facilities Maintenance Controller will oversee all maintenance activities to ensure they meet company standards efficiently, propose improvements in maintenance processes and ensure workplace safety is adhered to effectively, coordinating maintenance tasks to maintain continuous operation of facilities and installations, safeguarding business operations from interruptions.In this role, you will:
  • Supervise Maintenance Officers and technical staff carrying out facility operation, maintenance, and repair duties, ensuring that all tasks are completed within the scheduled time while maintaining required quality standards. Contribute to the management of manpower effectively to ensure sufficient 24/7 coverage is available throughout all facilities.
  • Control and monitor process management systems throughout EK Engineering to ensure all control systems are properly maintained and working effectively and efficiently.
  • Conduct thorough system surveys of all Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC), electrical equipment and control systems in the entire facility, assigning rectification tasks where required to ensure all equipment is available and will perform as required.
  • Monitor utility usage in key areas throughout EK Engineering and raise any concerns to the management. Identify opportunities to control utility consumption and recommend processes to achieve this. Analyse the energy, water consumption and waste to propose clean and low-energy solutions that would reduce the overall consumption and promote sustainability.
  • Support in maintaining service level agreements for all the equipment to ensure it is renewed on time. Continuously look for improvements in the scope and reduce cost to the company while supporting the sustainability approach.
  • Manage assigned projects and provide input on design deliverables, construction progress and equipment selection in order to ensure compliance with initial specifications, reliability and optimal maintainability of installations and equipment leading to the successful delivery of the projects.
  • Ensure all Maintenance Service Requests (SR) and Turn around Work Orders (WO) are monitored, reviewed, and actioned in a timely manner and as per set processes.
  • Evaluate the performance of third-party vendors and contractors to ensure they meet contractual obligations and performance standards. Analyse statistics and other data to assess progress and service levels, including workload and quality performance according to KPIs.
  • Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plan for facilities maintenance, ensuring minimal disruption to operations during emergencies and unexpected events.
  • Maintain mutual understanding with third Party Suppliers and Contractors to ensure all company requirements are met in order to ensure a seamless operation.
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
  • Have a Bachelor's Degree or Honours (12 + 3 years or equivalent) with 5+ years of experience in Engineering or Other.
  • Have a Degree In Mechanical/ Electrical/ Instrumentation and Electronic Engineering.
  • Have practical work experience in the field of building services or process control systems within a large industrial environment.
  • Have a proven record of independently maintaining and repairing low voltage control systems.
  • Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of extra low voltage control systems and Programmable Logic Controller.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate proficiently in English.
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Have knowledge in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing for detailed review of deliverables of these specialities, in the frame of existing or future EK ENGG projects.
  • Have knowledge on local and international standards and practices for maintenance tasks.
  • This is not a leadership role.
