Engineering Coordinator Electrical/mechanical

Job Description

Our client, a reputed multinational engineering and manufacturing entity seeks to hire an engineering coordinator for Abu Dhabi location. Potential incumbents must fulfil the below KRA's but not limited to below key deliverables.Industry knowledge preferred
  • Detailed knowledge of Power Gen equipment and or filtration equipments and internal processes in project execution; International customer correspondence; Quick and smart decision making.
Key requisites
  • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in dealing with projects procurement
  • Good understanding of Procurement Activities / Technical drawings / Specifications / Data Sheets /
  • Electrical & Pneumatic Items.
  • Very strong administrative / PC skills (MS Office)
  • Strong negotiation, organizational and communication skills
  • Financial understanding i.e, impact purchasing activities on P&L for projects
  • Fluent in English speaking & writing, Spanish an advantage, any other language is an asset
Key responsibilities
  • Support the successful execution of project procurement.
  • Managing the purchased volume for the assigned projects on quality, timing, cost & specs.
  • Work closely with the Product Manager, Project Engineers, Application Engineers, Design and
  • Drafting Team, Manufacturing Team, Quality Team, Site Team, Sales Team and other internal departments to ensure procurement of material on time.
  • Analyze in detail the customer technical and commercial specifications and help to get localized source of material with better price & lead time.
  • Research and evaluate suppliers, based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.
  • Ensure supplier obligations and delivery are managed in-time / in-budget / in-quality for project procurement.
  • Issue POs based on MRP / approved requisitions and approved suppliers / conditions / contracts and assist in setting up the Blanket Price Agreements.
  • Process order confirmations, track and expedite delivery dates.
  • Identify and initiate the appropriate actions to manage the long lead time components.
  • Escalate timely when delays and issues arise.
  • Develop & Implement initiatives to reduce cost.
  • Any other task assigned.
  • Comply with all processes and procedures (HR, Quality, HSE, Finance, IT, Procurement,
  • Operations) which include compliance with all applicable rules and regulations of the local labor law.
  • Employee shall comply with requirements listed in Companys QHSE Management System.
