About the JobProvide support in ensuring asset integrity by participating in the identification of inherent process safety requirements over the asset life-cycle and monitor that action plans are put in place to prevent accidents/incidentsKey AccountabilitiesParticipate in the development of control measures to address inherent process safety requirements over the asset life-cycle (from the design phase to its decommissioning and replacement). Participate in pre-start-up safety reviews of new major units or major modifications of existing units.Follow-up on the implementation of assurance programs, to ensure that all risks associated with the operation of the assets comply with safety or HSE requirements to prevenUmitigate accidents/incidents.Assist in the monitoring of process safety measures and performance indicators and recommend any remedial actions to Team Leader or Department Manager, in order to prevent or mitigate potential accidents and incidents.Responsible for Developing, recommending, and implementing program and procedures that will ensure evaluation and control of potential major accident hazards associated with hydrocarbon operations.Monitor the effective execution of Process Safety Management programs through reviews of process hazards studies, serious incident and other reports, and auditing site compliance with the elements of PSM.Participate in various safety reviews/ studies such as PHAs, HAZOPs, Loss prevention and audits.Participate in ADNOC standards reviews to ensure inclusion of requirements that are practical benefit to Operations and Maintenance in regard to safety and efficiency of the Assets.Conduct process hazards review (PHR) programs, special hazards evaluations and incident investigations to ensure that necessary actions are taken.Liaise with internal stakeholders (i.e., Operations-Production, Operations-Maintenance, HSE, etc) and verify that all processes required to maintain and demonstrate process safety are in place and implemented. Highlight any non-conformity to Team Leader or Department Manager.Assist in the following-up the progress of any agreed action plans. If necessary, participate in the resolution of these issues which have potential to impact process safety.Participate in any incident investigations to ensure that action plans or mitigating measures are implemented.Handle the technical bid evaluation of contractors, including any prequalification documentation to ensure that these are in line with ADNOC Distribution requirements, and ensure cost effective and quality services are obtained.Provide support in any PS-related engagements and activities to ensure completion or any requirements are complied with.Ensure that governance and reporting are aligned to AIPS requirements, and ADNOC-HQ directives. Highlight issues to Management that needs remedial actions.Provide Technical assistance and advice covering but not limited to Process safety management, Quantitative Risk analysis to ensure minimization of losses and prevention of Major Accident hazards.Review the Process Safety aspects in existing/new projects and ensure compliance with principal standards and operational safety requirements.Carry out the AIPS Audit and Assurance program on-site in accordance with the AIPS Major Program and Projects.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, maintenance, inspection and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment), to ensure effective Process Safety requirements are addressed. Develop Process Safety Procedure Guidelines based on the requirements.Process Safety Engineer is responsible for monitoring and updating KPI compliance for ADNOC Distribution.Develop and review the Risk Register in line with ADNOC Standard to identify the risk at an early stage and liaise with internal stakeholders (i.e. Operations-Production, Operations-Maintenance, HSE, etc) and take the necessary steps or measures to mitigate its harmful effects.Provide training for new employees and refresher training for existing employees who are involved in managing process safety, to ensure that they are fully aware of PSM requirements.Minimum RequirementsBachelor\'s degree in engineering or any related discipline preferably Mechanical / Chemical, with strong Process Safety background.At least 6 years of experience, in process safety-related functions in an oil/gas or petrochemical environmentWith working knowledge and experience in Quality and HSE Management systemsWorking exposure to best practices in AIPSMust be up-to-date with any applicable Process Safety international and local legislationsMust be up-to-date with applicable Health, Safety and Environmental international and local legislationsCertification in Process Safety Professional or any relevant certifications preferred.Professional Certifications
