MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLETo oversee the real-time monitoring and operations of IT applications, platforms, systems, networks, databases and related infrastructure for flydubai, ensuring seamless functionality, security, and performance of all systems.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises the day-to-day operations of Data Centre and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Monitors systems availability and corresponding support processes based on the agreed processes.
Monitors the availability of 24/7 availability of Corporate Network infrastructure and the Data Centers to ensure the availability of all servers and services required by flydubai, which includes IT solutions and services hosted outside FZ.
Prepares operational performance metrics and status across the IT infrastructure, applications, and networks for further analysis.
Collaborates with between internal teams, outsourcing and hosting partners, and other stakeholders to ensure incidents are resolved in a timely manner.
Participates to optimize performance and continuously work towards improving productivity.
Coordinate with all impacted parties to ensure all IT releases and deployments across all business units or IT business partners to ensure awareness on schedule and status on the progress.
Develop and maintain Operations manual, so that all processes and procedures are documented as SOP.
Ensures hardware, peripherals, devices are in working condition without affecting the 24x7 Operation of Data Centre and network, addressing Level 1 incidents, and escalating issues when necessary to minimize downtime and service disruptions.
Maintains an updated list of contact details and escalation points for all services, including applications, operating systems, hardware, services, and air-conditioning units, to ensure prompt resolution of issues when required.
Participates in complex infrastructure implementation, system upgrades and operational trouble shooting.
Carries out changes to flydubai IT Platform Operations environments, which are planned as per agreed Tier level maintenance windows and ensures necessary approvals are available for unplanned changes/outages.
Collaborates closely with the IT System and Cloud teams on patching activities to ensure that sanity verification is done, and all apps are operational after patching.
Collaborates closely with IT Operations, IT Digital Technology & Platform and other flydubai IT sections to ensure that Data Center and Infrastructure are geared up to meet the growing demands of flydubai.
Executes changes to flydubai IT Platform Operations environments, which are planned as per agreed Tier level maintenance windows and ensures necessary approvals are available for unplanned changes and outages.
