Job Description

Key Accountabilities

• International traffic management with 24x7 on-call operations support including fault management, change management, proactive circuit monitoring and new international links provisioning and service delivery
• Day-to-day incident and planned work handling related to international carrier services and lead the end-to-end troubleshooting and testing with different teams for all international links
• Working with various consortium teams to maintain submarine cable systems/network (EIG, GBI, SMW5 and GCX)
• Track all international carrier planned work activities and provide the required assessment/coordination to ensure minimal impact on customer services
• Lead coordination with various teams (internally & externally) for all new International Carrier projects including links capacity upgrade, equipment aggregation/new installations
• Support service delivery of international services and coordinate with customer/carrier partners if required
• Maintain records and diagrams of all international links and makes sure they are all updated with the highest level of accuracy
• Perform root cause analysis of the repetitive/major failure and remedial action
• Ensure the operations and network KPIs are met with the highest quality and standards
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports as required by the management

Qualifications, experience and skills

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunication Engineering.
• Leadership and management certifications.

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in a role in Telecom industry, with involvement in Telecom Services Performance.
• Advanced understanding of all telecom domains.
• Expertise Level of Capacity management
• Expertise level of OTN, IP & connectivity fundamentals and orchestration
• Advanced understanding of data analysis, visualization, machine learning modeling and artificial intelligence applications

• Proven track record of managing vendors
• Proven track record in governance and financial management
• Strong management skills in a multi-cultural and multi-national environment
• Fluent in English and Arabic is advantage
