As well, we are faster and more flexible in meeting customer requirements.Job Summary:As an Engineer II in the Munitions Department at Halcon, you will take on a more advanced role, leveraging your experience to lead and contribute to complex missile and weapon development projects. This position requires a seasoned engineer with a proven track record in munitions engineering and a deep understanding of advanced technologies.Key Accountabilities:Advanced Design and Analysis:
Lead the design and analysis of advanced missile and weapon systems.
Drive innovation by proposing and implementing design improvements based on industry trends and emerging technologies.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on complex design challenges.
Work without supervision maintaining the performance and reporting to management in a timely manner
Review documentation prepared by other members of the team and providing constructive feedback
Testing and Validation:
Plan, elaborate and execute sophisticated testing protocols for missiles and weapons.
Analyze complex test data, identify trends, and propose modifications to enhance system performance.
Take a lead role in live-fire tests, ensuring the successful execution of testing campaigns.
Provide mentoring and guidance for junior engineers;
Review documentation related to testing then reporting it to management professionally;
Project Leadership:
Take ownership of assigned projects, overseeing project scopes, timelines, and deliverables.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives and provide strategic guidance throughout the development lifecycle.
Interface with external partners, vendors, and regulatory bodies as needed.
Provide mentoring for junior engineers;
Management reporting;
Review documentation;
Organize and conduct design review meetings as required;
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements within the Munitions Department.
Contribute to the development of best practices and standard operating procedures.
Stay abreast of industry advancements and integrate relevant technologies into project work.
Propose R&D ideas and concepts to improve products;
Experience & Education Qualifications:
Master\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineer, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in missile or weapon system development.
Proven expertise in advanced engineering principles, such as initiation, detonics, and energetic systems.
Strong proficiency in engineering software and simulation tools.
Excellent leadership and project management skills.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Strong ability to deal with short deadlines, pressure and manage risks.
