This role will involve both supporting senior engineers and taking on more responsibility in the design and implementation processes. You will gradually transition into an independent guidance and control systems designer while playing a vital role in high-stakes projects.What You'll Do:In this exciting position, you will:
Modeling and Simulation: Execute advanced simulations to develop and refine guidance and control systems.
Guidance & Control Algorithms: Contribute to the development and optimization of algorithms to improve system performance.
Tracking Systems & Estimation Filters: Apply your expertise to develop tracking systems and advanced estimation/optimization filters.
Software Development: Work on Software in the Loop (SIL) and Processor in the Loop (PIL) simulations to enhance software capabilities.
Lab Testing & Performance Verification: Take part in hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, ensuring performance meets high standards.
Flight Testing: Contribute to pre-flight preparations, manage flight tests, and analyze results post-flight.
Mission Planning: Play a key role in mission planning for guidance and control systems.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and Engineer I team members.
Tool Development: Take responsibility for the design and implementation of tools that improve engineering design and analysis within the department.
Who We're Looking For:Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Embedded Systems, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
4-6 Years of Engineering Experience in guidance and control or relevant engineering disciplines.
Proven Expertise in:
6-DoF (Degrees of Freedom) simulations
Dynamics and kinematics of guided weapon systems
Control systems
Fluency in Matlab/Simulink (Advanced level)
Intermediate Competencies:
Engineering Thinking
Emotional Intelligence
Technical Problem Solving
Preferred: Completed basic engineering training in guidance and control systems.
