:DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Ensure consent is taken by doctor.

• Explain endoscopy procedures to patient with support of his/her language with pro department staff. To check about any contraindication to endoscopy or sedation and inform the Doctor.
• Gives instructions and prepares needed laboratory investigations for patient undergoing endoscopy procedures Histopathological Biopsy.
• Collaborates with the OPD Supervisor and anesthesia department in scheduling endoscopic examination that requires anesthetist intervention.
• Responsible for handling the specimen safely.
• Clean and disinfect scopes and all open accessories according to the manufacturer requirement.
• Adheres to infection control policies and procedures.
• Responsible for maintaining the inventory stock as delegated by HOD.
• Performs safety checks to verify functions of equipment.
• Preparing endoscopy room according to endoscopy procedure requirement.
• Participates in any educational activities and attend continuing nursing education activity relevant to area of mandatory requirements

Qualifications:QUALIFICATION, LICENSURE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SPECIAL SKILLS: * Diploma/ Bachelor in Endoscopy.

• Two (2) years experience as endoscopy technician.
• License to practice by DOH.
• Excellent command of oral and written English; Arabic desirable but not mandatory
