Les Roches, in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi, is opening a world-class hospitality management academy in Abu Dhabi in September 2024. As part of the pre-opening preparations of the Les Roches Abu Dhabi campus, we are recruiting an Emirati Faculty Member / Senior Lecturer .
In close collaboration with the Faculty body, the Academic Dean, Associate Dean, Program Director, Campus Director, the Faculty member designs and delivers courses, student experiences through pedagogical and extra-curricular learning activities, and personal development programs. Her/his mission requires an entrepreneurial mindset, combined with an in-depth understanding of the higher education context.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
• PhD or equivalent Doctoral Qualification preferred.
• Minimum Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Ideally a track record of teaching experience in the corresponding subject area or training and development in a professional setting.
• Familiarity with technology and aware of latest trends in business and education.
• A strong interest for teaching and strong teaching ability.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
• IT literate.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills.
• Experience in working in a multicultural environment
The key responsibilities are:
• Teach undergraduate and/or Graduate level courses according to the academic program especially those related to Emirati Hospitality Identity.
• Prepare and update teaching material related to the Emirati Hospitality Identity to the standards required by the school.
• Work with all other faculty members to ensure that the Emirati Hospitality Identity information and curriculum is embedded within all relevant courses.
• Audit course teaching materials in relevant courses to ensure the Emirati Hospitality Identity is appropriately embedded.
• Contribute to program review, design and curriculum development, especially related to the Emirati Hospitality Identity.
• Participate in course review and evaluation.
• Participate in the Internal Verification process.
• Participate in peer-to-peer classroom observation.
• Participate in external accreditation reviews.
• Participate in external examiner reviews.
