Job Description

As an Embedded System Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing and developing critical embedded systems used in defense applications. You will work on high-security projects that require precision, reliability, and advanced technical expertise. Your role will involve close collaboration with defense experts and engineers to ensure our systems meet the stringent requirements of the defense industry.

Key Responsibilities:

System Design and Development:

• Design and develop embedded systems for defense applications, including hardware and software components.
• Develop low-level firmware to interface with specialized defense hardware.

Embedded Software Engineering:

• Write, test, and debug code in C/C++ for embedded systems tailored to defense technologies.
• Implement real-time operating systems (RTOS) and ensure system performance aligns with mission-critical requirements.

Hardware Integration and Testing:

• Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate embedded systems with advanced defense equipment.
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation to ensure system reliability and functionality under various conditions.

Performance Optimization:

• Optimize embedded systems for efficiency, including minimizing power consumption, maximizing processing speed, and ensuring robust performance.
• Implement advanced algorithms and ensure adherence to stringent performance standards.

Security and Compliance:

• Ensure that embedded systems meet high-security standards and comply with defense industry regulations.
• Develop and maintain secure coding practices to protect against vulnerabilities and ensure data integrity.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for design, development, and testing phases.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and defense clients.

Project Collaboration:

• Work closely with defense project managers, systems engineers, and other stakeholders to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and project status meetings.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to defense applications.
• Contribute innovative ideas and solutions to enhance the performance and capabilities of embedded systems.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A master's degree or higher is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in embedded systems development, with a focus on defense or military applications being highly desirable.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
• Experience with microcontrollers, microprocessors (e.g., ARM, Intel), and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Familiarity with secure coding practices and defense industry standards.
• Knowledge of debugging tools, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment.

Soft Skills:

• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a high-security environment.
• Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with advanced defense technologies such as avionics, radar systems, or communications systems.
• Knowledge of military communication protocols and security standards.
• Experience with software development tools and version control systems (e.g., Git).

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Preferred)
