Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Installation: Install, configure, and commission automatic gates and doors systems according to specifications and design requirements.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, inspections, and preventive maintenance on existing automatic gates and doors to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues with automatic gates and doors systems, including electrical, mechanical, and software-related problems.
• Repair: Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty components or parts in automatic gates and doors systems to restore functionality.
• Upgrades and Retrofitting: Upgrade existing systems with new features, components, or technologies as needed. Retrofit older systems to meet current safety and performance standards.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, repairs, and upgrades performed on automatic gates and doors systems.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines while working on automatic gates and doors systems to ensure the safety of both technicians and customers.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers to understand their requirements, provide technical assistance, and address any concerns or questions they may have regarding automatic gates and doors systems.
• Training and Support: Provide training and support to customers or end-users on the proper use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automatic gates and doors systems.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as an ELV Technician, with a focus on automatic gates and doors systems.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in electrical wiring, low-voltage systems, access control systems, and electronic components commonly used in automatic gates and doors.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications or training in ELV systems, automatic gates, or related fields are preferred.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate installation, maintenance, and repairs of automatic gates and doors systems.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy equipment, bending, kneeling, and working in various weather conditions.
• Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license and clean driving record may be required for traveling to customer sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with specific brands or models of automatic gates and doors systems (e.g., key automation, FAAC, LiftMaster, Nice).
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as UL 325 for gate safety.
• Knowledge of networking principles and protocols for integrating automatic gates and doors systems with other smart home or building automation systems.
• Experience with programming and configuring access control systems, keypads, card readers, and other security features integrated into automatic gates and doors.
• Additional certifications or training in electrical, electronics, or related fields would be advantageous.
