Job Description

To hire an experienced salesperson for ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems marketing in Dubai, you'll want to ensure they have the following qualifications and skills:

1. Industry Experience:

• ELV Systems Knowledge : The salesperson must have experience with ELV systems, which include security systems, surveillance systems (CCTV), access control, fire alarm systems, home automation, building management systems (BMS), intercom, PA systems , and other low voltage systems.
• Dubai Market Understanding : Familiarity with the Dubai market is essential, particularly knowledge of the construction, real estate, and infrastructure sectors , as they are key drivers for ELV system needs.

2. Sales and Marketing Experience:

• Proven Sales Record : The salesperson should have a history of achieving sales targets in a similar industry, especially related to technology or construction projects.
• Lead Generation : Ability to generate leads, work with engineers, consultants, and contractors to promote ELV solutions.
• Negotiation Skills : Strong negotiation abilities to close deals with large projects and contractors.
• Relationship Building : Ability to establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the building and construction industries, such as contractors, architects, and developers.

3. Networking and Connections:

• Dubai Network : The person should have strong local networks in the construction, real estate, and building management sectors .
• Knowledge of Key Players : Familiarity with key businesses, suppliers, and stakeholders in Dubai's ELV and construction sectors.

4. Technical Understanding:

• Technical Product Knowledge : The salesperson should be able to explain complex technical details of ELV systems and provide tailored solutions for clients.
• Project Management Experience : Experience in overseeing the implementation of ELV systems and understanding of timelines, costs, and deliverables for construction projects.

5. Language Skills:

• Fluency in English : English is the primary business language in Dubai, so fluency is essential. Knowledge of Arabic would be a plus but is not strictly required.

6. Educational Qualifications:

• Relevant Degree or Certification : A background in electrical engineering, systems engineering , or a related field is preferred.
• Sales Certifications : A certification or training in sales, marketing, or negotiation is an added benefit.

7. Dubai Work Experience:

• Familiarity with UAE Regulations : Understanding of Dubai's regulations regarding safety, building codes, and technology integration.
• Experience with Multinational Companies : Experience working with international brands or clients is valuable, given Dubai's multinational environment.

8. Personal Traits:

• Self-Motivated : ELV sales often require a proactive approach, so the salesperson should be self-driven.
• Problem-Solving Skills : The ability to solve client issues, recommend solutions, and manage post-sale support.
