Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled ELV Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience as an engineer in a building services engineering department within a facilities management company and healthcare industry in the UAE with an Engineering degree.

Key Responsibilities:

An ELV (Extra Low Voltage) Manager is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and management of systems that operate on low voltage. These systems typically include security, communication, and building management systems. The role requires a mix of technical expertise, project management skills, and coordination abilities. Here's a detailed breakdown of the key responsibilities of an ELV Manager:

Project Management

• Project Planning: Develop and manage project plans for the installation and maintenance of ELV systems, including timelines, resources, and budgets.
• Coordination: Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that project requirements are met and that installations are completed on schedule.
• Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure successful project execution.

System Design and Implementation

• Design Oversight: Oversee the design and specification of ELV systems, ensuring that they meet project requirements and comply with relevant standards and regulations.
• Installation Supervision: Supervise the installation of ELV systems, ensuring that work is carried out to high standards and according to the approved design.
• Testing and Commissioning: Ensure that systems are thoroughly tested and commissioned before they are handed over to clients or put into operation.

Maintenance and Support

• Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement maintenance schedules for ELV systems to ensure their optimal performance and longevity.

• Reporting: Prepare and present reports on project progress, system performance, and maintenance activities to senior management and stakeholders.

Team Management

• Staff Supervision: Lead and manage a team of technicians, engineers, and other staff involved in ELV projects and maintenance.
• Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in ELV systems.

Vendor and Contractor Management

• Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring that they provide high-quality products and services.
• Contractor Oversight: Oversee the work of contractors and subcontractors involved in ELV projects, ensuring that they meet performance and quality standards.

Budget and Cost Management

Requirements:

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience as an engineer in a building services engineering department within a facilities management company and healthcare industry in the UAE.
• At least 3 - 5 years of management experience with the ability to manage maintenance team.
• Must hold a degree in building services High Voltage Electrical, Low Voltage Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or recognised trade qualifications in building services maintenance or a high level of equivalent experience in a previous post.
• Proficient and able to provide relevant managerial and technical support
• Excellent communication skills.
