Job Summary: The ELV System Sales Engineer is responsible for generating leads, driving sales, and supporting the technical needs of customers for Extra Low Voltage systems, including but not limited to Audiovisual Systems, Video Conferencing, CCTV, Access Control, Public Address, and Structured Cabling systems. This role combines technical expertise with strong sales skills to develop and maintain customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities and leads in the ELV market.
Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing customers.
Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industries for ELV systems.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
Achieve or exceed sales targets and objectives.
Technical Expertise:
Provide technical support and expertise to clients regarding ELV systems.
Understand and interpret customer requirements and propose suitable solutions.
Conduct site surveys and technical assessments to gather information for system design.
Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure accurate and effective solutions are proposed.
Customer Relationship Management:
Maintain strong relationships with key accounts and stakeholders.
Act as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing their needs and concerns.
Provide post-sales support, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Proposal and Quotation:
Prepare detailed and accurate quotations, proposals, and tenders.
Ensure all proposals are aligned with customer requirements and company capabilities.
Follow up on quotations and negotiate terms and conditions with clients.
Product Knowledge and Training:
Stay up-to-date with the latest ELV products, technologies, and industry trends.
Attend training sessions and seminars to enhance product knowledge.
Provide training and support to clients on the operation and maintenance of ELV systems.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project progress.
Prepare regular reports on sales performance and market trends for management.
Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales and technical support of ELV systems.
Skills:
Strong technical knowledge of ELV systems (Audiovisual, CCTV, Access Control, Public Address, Structured Cabling).
Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
Ability to understand and interpret technical specifications and requirements.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using CRM software and MS Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certifications: Relevant certifications in ELV systems (e.g., Cisco, Axis, Milestone) are a plus.
Other Requirements: Valid driver\'s license and willingness to travel as needed.
Working Conditions:
Primarily office-based with frequent travel to client sites.
May require working outside regular office hours to meet client deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to conduct site surveys, which may involve climbing ladders and accessing confined spaces.
Career Path:
Potential for advancement to Senior Sales Engineer, Sales Manager, or other leadership roles within the company.
