Position Title: Automobile Motherboard and Motor Repair Technician
Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Automobile Motherboard and Motor Repair Technician to join our team. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automobile motherboards, motors, and related electrical systems. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and fixing issues in motor control systems, ECUs (Electronic Control Units), wiring, and related electronic components, ensuring that all systems in vehicles are functioning properly and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnostic and Troubleshooting:
• Diagnose faults and issues in automobile motherboards, ECUs, and motor control systems using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Identify problems in electrical circuits, motor components, and motherboard connections.
• Use diagnostic tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and scan tools to pinpoint issues in electronic systems and motors.
• Motherboard and Motor Repairs:
• Perform repairs on automobile motherboards, including replacing damaged or malfunctioning components such as capacitors, resistors, and connectors.
• Conduct motor repairs, including troubleshooting motor malfunctions, fixing motor windings, and replacing faulty motor parts (e.g., brushes, bearings, sensors).
• Repair and replace damaged ECUs, wiring, and control units, ensuring they meet manufacturer specifications.
• Motor and Electronic System Maintenance:
• Provide maintenance services for motors, motherboards, and related electronics, ensuring optimal performance.
• Inspect motors and electronic components for wear and tear, and perform routine maintenance like cleaning, lubricating, and calibrating systems.
• System Upgrades and Installation:
• Install new or upgraded motherboards, motor control systems, or electronic components as needed.
• Retrofit vehicles with modern electronic systems and motor controllers to improve performance and ensure compatibility with newer technologies.
• Customer Communication and Support:
• Interact with customers to discuss their vehicle's electronic or motor-related issues, explaining diagnostic findings and repair options clearly.
• Provide recommendations for system upgrades or preventive maintenance to ensure long-term vehicle reliability.
• Testing and Quality Assurance:
• Test repaired or installed systems to verify full functionality, performance, and safety of the motors and electronic systems.
• Perform comprehensive quality checks on all repairs and installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
• Documentation and Record-Keeping:
• Maintain accurate records of all repairs, services, and parts used.
• Complete repair orders and service documentation, noting the issues found, solutions implemented, and any customer recommendations.
• Continuous Learning and Development:
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in automotive electronics and motor technologies.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills and obtain relevant certifications.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in automotive electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in repairing automobile motherboards, ECUs, and motor systems, with a strong understanding of vehicle electronics.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscope) and repair techniques for motors and electronic systems.
• Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, circuit boards, and motor components.
• Experience in soldering, component replacement, and motor repair, including motor rewinding and testing.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to customers in a clear and understandable way.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to safety standards and industry best practices.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with hybrid and electric vehicle motors and electronic control systems.
• Certification in automotive electronics or motor repair.
• Knowledge of vehicle-specific electrical wiring diagrams and service manuals.
Work Environment:
• The role is based in a workshop or garage environment.
• May involve physical labor, including lifting heavy components, as well as exposure to noise and electrical systems.
Working Hours:
• Full-time position with standard operating hours; occasional overtime may be required during busy periods.
