A reputed company is looking for an electrician with below qualifications. High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program or technical certification is preferred. Valid electrical trade license or certification, as required by local regulations. Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in the maritime or offshore industry. Thorough understanding of electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and controls used in marine vessels. Knowledge of marine electrical codes, regulations, and standards, such as those set by classification societies. Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical problems effectively. Familiarity with electrical testing and diagnostic tools, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and insulation testers. Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and practices, including lockout/tagout, arc flash, and grounding. Ability to work in a maritime environment, including onshore and offshore locations, and adapt to changing work schedules or emergency situations. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members, engineers, and other stakeholders. Physical stamina and the ability to perform the physical demands of the job, including working in confined spaces, climbing ladders, and lifting heavy equipment. Proficient in using basic computer applications and software for maintenance tracking and documentation. Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
