Job Description

As an Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. You will interpret blueprints, follow electrical codes, and use a variety of tools and testing devices to ensure proper installation and functionality of electrical systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.

2. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to determine layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

3. Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations.

4. Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices and techniques.

5. Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.

6. Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as construction workers and HVAC technicians, to complete projects.

7. Provide guidance and training to apprentice electricians.

8. Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.

9. Maintain a safe work environment by following safety procedures and protocols.

10. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical systems.

3. Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification preferred.

4. Proven experience as an Electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.

5. Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.

6. Proficiency in using electrical tools and testing devices.

7. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

9. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

10. Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
