DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Installation and Maintenance: Electricians install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. They work with wiring, lighting fixtures, switches, and circuit breakers.
- Reading Blueprints: Electricians read technical diagrams and blueprints to understand the layout of electrical systems. This helps them plan installations and repairs.
- Troubleshooting: When electrical issues arise, electricians use testing devices to diagnose problems. They then repair or replace faulty components.
- Safety Compliance: Electricians ensure that all electrical work adheres to safety regulations and building codes. They inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other components to maintain safety standards.
- Wiring and Conduits: Electricians install and repair wiring, conduits, and conductive elements. They connect electrical systems to power sources and ensure proper grounding.
- Testing and Inspection: After installation, electricians test and inspect wiring, lighting, and other electrical work to ensure it functions safely and efficiently.
- Hand and Power Tools: Electricians use a variety of tools, including pliers, wire strippers, and power drills, to perform their tasks.
