Medium voltage cable jointer with 5+ years of experience in saudi arabia worked on power system. as an MV (Medium Voltage) Cable Jointer, your role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of medium voltage power cables. You work with cables typically ranging from 1kV (kilovolt) to 33kV, depending on the specific requirements of the electrical distribution network. Here are some key responsibilities and tasks commonly associated with being an MV Cable Jointer: Cable Installation: You are responsible for installing medium voltage power cables, including underground and overhead cables. This involves tasks such as cable pulling, termination, and jointing. Cable Jointing and Termination: You perform cable jointing and termination to connect or repair medium voltage cables. This includes preparing cable ends, splicing or connecting cables, and installing cable accessories such as terminations and connectors. Fault Finding and Repair: As an MV Cable Jointer, you troubleshoot and identify faults in power cables using specialized equipment and techniques. You then carry out necessary repairs to restore the cable's functionality. Testing and Commissioning: You conduct various tests to ensure the integrity and performance of medium voltage cables.
