Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor with a background in engineering consultancy to oversee the day-to-day operations of electrical installation, maintenance, and testing on client sites. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience managing electrical teams in an engineering consultancy setting. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, a deep understanding of electrical systems, and the ability to coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise electrical installation, testing, and maintenance activities across various projects, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and safety standards.
• Oversee the work of electrical technicians, subcontractors, and other team members, providing guidance and ensuring high-quality standards are met.
• Collaborate closely with project engineers and managers to interpret and implement project specifications, electrical drawings, and technical documentation.
• Monitor work progress and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications, industry regulations, and client requirements.
• Provide technical support and advice on electrical systems, troubleshooting issues, and recommending solutions where necessary.
• Manage the procurement and timely delivery of electrical materials and equipment.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve project-related issues or delays.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of work performed, including test reports, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation.
• Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations on all project sites, conducting risk assessments and implementing necessary corrective actions.
• Assist in mentoring and training junior staff and new employees.

Requirements:

• Educational Background: A degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Supervisor or in a similar role within an engineering consultancy or construction environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems.
• Proven ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical documents.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC, or local standards).
• Experience with electrical testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with project management tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, etc.).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Certification in health and safety management (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) is an advantage..
