Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on UPS systems, including batteries, inverters, rectifiers, and related components.
Conduct diagnostic testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues with UPS systems.
Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications, industry standards, and safety protocols.
Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and restore UPS functionality within agreed SLAs.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspection reports, service logs, and spare parts usage.
Prepare detailed technical reports on system performance, faults, and recommendations for improvements.
Assist in the installation, commissioning, and handover of new UPS systems.
Train facility staff on basic UPS operations and emergency procedures.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements:
Education:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Certifications:
Relevant certifications in UPS systems, electrical maintenance, or power systems (e.g., APC, Eaton, or Schneider Electric certifications) are highly desirable.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in UPS maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting.
Technical Skills:
In-depth knowledge of UPS systems, including single-phase and three-phase configurations.
Strong understanding of electrical circuits, power distribution, and backup systems.
Experience with battery technologies (e.g., VRLA, lithium-ion) and battery management systems.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for UPS systems.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Language:
Fluent in English (written and spoken). Knowledge of Tamil/Hindi is an added advantage.
Additional Requirements:
Valid driving license and willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts for emergencies.
