Title: QC Electrical Inspector Key Responsibilities: o Perform inspections on electrical systems, wiring, panels, equipment, and components to ensure adherence to project plans, industry standards, and class regulations (e.g., ABS, DNV, Lloyd's Register). o Verify compliance of installed electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, lighting, navigation aids, and communication systems, with design specifications. o Conduct quality checks on cabling, grounding, and electrical connections, ensuring proper installation and testing for functionality and safety. o Inspect electrical installations at various stages of the shipbuilding process, including assembly, commissioning, and pre-launch phases. o Identify, document, and report non-conformances or deviations from specifications, working closely with production and engineering teams to resolve issues. o Maintain detailed records of inspection results and prepare clear and concise reports summarizing inspection findings. o Assist in the development of electrical QC procedures and inspection checklists, aligning with the latest industry best practices. o Support sea trials, commissioning , and functional testing to verify the operational integrity of electrical systems. Qualifications: o Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field. o Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality control within the shipbuilding industry or a related environment. o Strong understanding of marine electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, and control systems. o Knowledge of relevant electrical codes and standards applicable in the shipbuilding industry. o Experience with electrical testing equipment, including insulation resistance testers, multimeters, and ground continuity testers. o Proficient in interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications. o Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
