Overall Purpose of the role

Provide general inspection on all Contractor and Sub-Contractor work to assure a safe and workmanship operations. He also should assist the senior electrical engineer in his duties.

Expectations & Responsibilities related to your role

1- SITE MANAGEMENT & DELIVERABLES - CONSTRUCTION STAGE

Assist in reviewing project contract documents and monitoring construction activities to ensure compliance.

Monitoring and/or evaluating electrical tests such as ground-fault, ground resistance, insulation resistance, polarity, continuity, capacity, load and other electrical field tests as required.

Field checking installation and location of electrical equipment, electrical duct, conduit, cable, panels and other components of the electrical system being installed.

Monitoring all electrical installations to assure circuitry phasing, equipment, and grounding adhere to construction documents and National Electric Code requirements.

Verifying equipment settings, alignment and testing requirements.

Inspect construction site and record the execution of work; assist in monitor progress against agreed program.

Ensure all electrical and utilities work is in accordance with the contract documents.

Conduct site inspections when required by senior electrical engineer.

Inspect work in progress for conformance to specifications, approved drawings and method statements.

Coordinate with the contractor; liaise with other authorities.

Working with a variety of technicians.

Assist the senior electrical engineer in reviewing shop drawings and review of "as-built" drawings along with all other technical submittals.

Full awareness of the approved quality plan specifically related to inspection and test plan, method statement for each item he is in charge of it.

2- TECHNICAL AND QA/QC

Responsible for quality controlling the executed works at site in coordination with site team.

Coordinates on time of assisting senior electrical engineer reviews and comments on the materials and samples (when required).

Apply and implement quality assurance and quality control.

Assures the site staff are complying with local health, safety and risk regulations.

Assist the senior electrical engineer in monitoring project quality performance and advise/highlight appropriate corrective actions to the senior electrical engineer and to report infringements, problems and any unusual observations to immediate superior.

Testing & commissioning procedure implementation.
