Charged AE is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer with leadership experience to manage a team of 3-6 technicians. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of EV charging stations, as well as leading the technical team to ensure high standards of performance. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for sustainable energy solutions. The candidate must also be approved by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
• Manage and lead a team of 3-6 technicians responsible for installing and maintaining EV charging stations.
• Assign tasks, oversee daily operations, and ensure that the team meets project deadlines.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to enhance the technical capabilities of the team.
Site Assessment and Planning:
• Conduct site surveys to evaluate potential installation locations for EV chargers.
• Assess existing electrical infrastructure and identify necessary upgrades or modifications.
Design and Specification:
• Design electrical layouts for EV charging stations, including wiring, circuit protection, and grounding.
• Select appropriate EV charging equipment and components based on project requirements and industry standards.
• Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Project Management:
• Oversee the installation process, coordinating with other professionals such as civil engineers, contractors, and utility companies.
• Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource plans to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
• Provide detailed scope of work, risk assessment, and method statements when required.
Installation, Testing, and Supervision:
• Supervise the team during the installation and commissioning of EV charging stations.
• Perform or oversee electrical testing to ensure chargers are functioning correctly and safely.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during installation.
Maintenance and Support:
• Develop maintenance schedules and procedures for the ongoing operation of EV chargers.
• Lead the team in providing technical support to clients and ensuring timely resolution of operational issues.
Documentation and Reporting:
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and test reports.
• Maintain records of installations, maintenance activities, and any modifications or upgrades.
• Generate reports summarizing project progress and outcomes for internal use and clients.
Research and Development:
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in EV charging technology and industry trends.
• Innovate and improve current installation methods and equipment.
• Participate in the development of new products and solutions for EV charging infrastructure.
Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure all installations comply with relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, including DEWA, to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
Client Interaction and Leadership:
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Ensure the technical team communicates effectively with clients and delivers high-quality service.
Sustainability and Efficiency:
• Implement energy-efficient and sustainable practices in the installation and operation of EV chargers.
• Advise on the integration of renewable energy sources with EV charging systems.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 1 year of team leadership or management experience.
• Must be approved by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Proficiency in electrical design software and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
