:Wood is currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Sharjah, UAE.Responsibilities:Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Electrical Discipline Manager, the candidate will assume sole responsibility for assigned Electrical engineering work scopes
To prepare Electrical deliverables for a project in the oil and gas industry, and ensure that they conform to all applicable engineering codes and standards as well as the Client's policies and procedures
To carry out sizing calculations for electrical equipment such as Cables, Earthing System, Lighting System, Transformers, Switchboards
To prepare/provide input to designers for Single Line Diagrams, Protection and Metering Diagrams, Cable Schedules, Interconnection drawings
To prepare/provide input to designers for Cable Routing Layouts, Lighting Layouts, Earthing Layouts and associated MTOs
To ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule
To promote safe behaviour at all times
To co-ordinate with other disciplines during all stages of design development, construction, pre-commissioning and start-up
Qualifications:
Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Sc./B.Eng./M.Sc.)
Minimum of 5 years' experience in the oil and gas industry or electrical power generation
Minimum of 3 years' proven capability in an engineering design company
Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred
Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage
