: The Electrical Engineer reports to the respective Maintenance Department Manager/Section Head. The Operations Group consists of the following divisions: Habshan & Bab Plants, Ruwais Plant, Bu Hasa Plant, Asab Plant, Pipelines, Engineering and Technical Support and Production Planning Department. GASCO is one of the largest and complex Gas Processing & Distribution Company First-Of-Its-Kind in the world with application of modern State-Of-The Art technology. GASCO has four Gas Processing and NGL Extraction Plants situated at different locations in deserts and a single NGL Fractionation & Liquefaction Plant with products loading facility. GASCO plants receive natural gas from 113 gas wells (from 5 reservoirs with different gas quality) and associated gas from 602 crude oil wells (from 11 reservoir zones and 5 oil fields). The quality of gas varies during the day and also has seasonal weather impact.
Main areas of responsibility for this position consist of engineering support in the preventive, corrective, troubleshooting, shutdown and major and minor maintenance activities, on various types of high and low voltage equipment and distribution systems, which power plant static and rotating equipment situated in designated areas. The gas processing sites may contain some or all of the following types of equipment: Gas Processing Trains, utilities, power generation, electrical workshops, transformers, sub-stations, distribution networks, cathodic protection, earthing systems and motor control centers for controlling various plant activities and functions. Other activities include electrical workshop repairs, and maintenance of HVAC equipment, UPS systems, battery banks and chargers, heavy lifting equipment, product storage facilities and tanker loading facilities, jetties and loading arms. Contacts for this position would commonly be Engineering, HSE and supervisory personnel, supervision of assigned subordinates, operations personnel, materials department staff, and counterparts in neighbouring industries, plus contractor and outside vendor employees.MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

• To plan, direct, supervise and coordinate all Maintenance activities on electrical equipment, troubleshoot complex electrical problems and supervise senior electrical technicians, technicians and contractor staff in the assigned area.
• To enforce the implementation of Gasco Health, Safety and Environment Management System (HSE-MS) and also promote awareness of its use among all division and department personnel.
• To ensure availability of tools, spares and consumables for all the activities in the assigned area.
• To review the periodic & shutdown work plans and integrate activities with other sections for their execution.
• To carry out detailed engineering, prepare scope of work & technical evaluation for extra ordinary maintenance (EOM) and major maintenance (MM) activities.
• To approve work orders, material issue requests, initiate purchase requisition (PR), prepare proposals for stock (PFS) and ensure updating of equipment history profile in Maximo.
• To compile/provide input for preparation of division/department Capital, Operating and 5 Year Plan budgets, and monitor/control expenditure.
• To prepare method statements for critical jobs, verify electrical procedures and instructions, plus scope of work for contract jobs and service work orders.
• To investigate and prepare Non Conformance and Incident Reports (NCR).
• To perform High Voltage switching activities.
• To verify the updated drawings, carryout review of electrical procedures & instructions and assist for the maintenance of documentation system.
• To ensure development & implementation of Competency Based Training & Development programs, through use of Personal Development Plans (PDPs) and UAE Nationalization directives.
• To continuously improve the quality of data input into the Maximo system, so as to ensure retrieval of quality information.
• To ensure the availability and reliability of electrical system/equipment, in view of equipment age, obsolescence and diverse range of manufacturers.
• To integrate new facility installations with existing electrical systems, commission and tie-in with the existing electrical network, considering the unknown performance characteristics of the integrated system and equipment.
