Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced

Electrical Engineer

to join our team for a building construction project in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in the UAE building construction industry, with expertise in electrical system design, installation, and maintenance. Immediate joiners are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical System Design and Planning:

Design, review, and develop electrical layouts for building construction projects in compliance with local codes and regulations. Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure proper integration of electrical systems within the building design. Ensure that all electrical systems (lighting, power distribution, fire alarm systems, etc.) are designed to meet the needs of the building and comply with safety standards.

Installation and Supervision:

Oversee and supervise the installation of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency backup, and fire alarms. Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure work is completed to the highest quality standards. Conduct inspections to ensure the correct installation of electrical systems and compliance with safety regulations.

Testing and Commissioning:

Conduct testing and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during installation and post-installation phases.

Project Coordination and Support:

Work closely with project managers, MEP engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of electrical systems. Address and resolve electrical design or installation issues on-site. Provide technical support and guidance to site teams during construction and commissioning.

Documentation and Reporting:

Prepare detailed electrical system designs, as-built drawings, and system documentation. Maintain accurate records of installation progress, test results, and compliance with regulations. Report regularly on the progress of electrical works, identifying any delays or issues that need resolution.

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as an Electrical Engineer in the UAE building construction industry.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and low-voltage systems. Proficient in electrical design software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) and electrical calculation tools. Thorough understanding of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards in the UAE. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with clients, contractors, and project teams.

Additional Qualifications:

Certification or training in electrical system design or project management is a plus. Experience in large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use building projects is preferred.
