POSITION SUMMARY

To control and supervise construction of MEP works in the Project to ensure works are completed according to plan, with efficient use of resources, with good quality and in a safe manner

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

? Assist the Site Engineer to execute the MEP works in the project scope so that they are completed in time, within budget, with good quality and in a safe manner.

? Control and supervise construction of all MEP works.

? Review or generate shop drawings, RFIs in coordination with technical department.

? Assist Construction Manager in matters related to Authority like NOCs, as built submissions and final inspections.

? Prepare accurate Daily Reports of the site activities including information on work done, machinery, manpower, material used, unusual incidences and visitors to site.

? Follow up with the respective subcontractors on inspection of works by the Consultants and Client, monitor and report to PM on the Request For Approval (RFA) Status daily.

? Ensure quality and safe working methods are used at all times, including conducting corrective actions for all types of utility related nonconformities.

? Follow up and timely closing of all MEP related NCRs and CARs in coordination with the subcontractors.

? Prepare 2-Week Look-ahead Construction Program for the MEP works in line with the project program and coordination with the Construction Manager.

? Prepare, issue and monitor the construction program for the activities of subcontractors.

? Develop Status report as required demonstrating the project status with respect to progress, submittals, safety and quality issues.

? Build up and maintain a good relationship with the inspectors / representatives of the Consultants, Client and Authority representatives.

? Coordinate with the procurement dept. for all types of material requests/sourcing and ensure their approval before use.

? Coordinate and organize periodical progress meetings with the respective subcontractors.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

? Monitor and ensure performance and progress of Subcontractors.

? Attend coordination meetings with team members.

? Attend meetings with Client / Consultant / Authorities as required.

? Ensure all related approved Shop drawings, Material inspections and NOCs are in place before start of any activity.

? Ensure workers attended safety induction and help guide them on safe work methods.

? Other duties as directed.

EHS Responsibilities

? Responsible for the EHS-CMP implementation in his work area

? Request safety induction training for new arrival employee's prior commencing worksite

? Communicate the risk assessment to their team with the support of EHS team

? Assign jobs/tasks to crew and ensure all personnel on site comply with site regulation and perform their tasks in accordance with approved procedures.

? Implement Permit to Work (PTW) system by request and initiate PTW for high risk activities.

? Ensure all the crew members on work location are aware of their responsibilities to report immediately if found any unsafe act or condition.

? Ensure all accidents, near miss incidents are reported immediately in accordance with company and client procedure.

? Ensure all equipment and associated tools are in good condition.

? Actively promote safety awareness to his men with the objective of continual improvement in safety related performance.

? Arrange to conduct regular tool box meeting for their workforce before start of work.

? Ensure personnel selected for their ability to perform the work and exclude persons whom not physically fit enough, incompetent to undertake task.

? Ensure the storage of material, equipment and tools are carried out as recommended and safely.

? Ensure all tools, equipment, plants are inspected and approved by EHS department and in good working condition.

? Ensure the storage, handling and usage of construction chemicals to be as per the manufacturer recommendation and MSDS.

JOB INTERACTIONS AND WORKING RELATIONSHIP

? Coordinate with the Technical / Material department for any deviations with respect to the site conditions.

? Coordinate with the stores for the preparation of material reconciliation report.

Requirement:

Must be DM Approved Electrical Engineer!

Bachelor degree in civil engineering/architectural engineering, etc.

Over 6 years of building and villa construction management experience.

Good communication skills with consultants and good coordinating skills.

good experience dealing with professional subcontractors.

Familiar with AUTOCAD?P6 and other engineering software, and EXCEL, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
