We are looking for an Electrical Engineer for one of our clients with the following details:Location: Abu Dhabi, UAEStart Date: ASAPContract Duration: 6 months - extendable based on project requirementQualification and Experience Required:

• Candidate must have Electrical design & engineering experience of at least 10 -12 years.
• 4 to 5 complete Project Life Cycles as EPC/EPCM in green field/ brown field and Revamp type of projects.
• Knowledge of all aspects of complex refinery, fertilizer, chemical, petrochemical, and oil & gas projects.
• Candidate shall have very strong understanding of all Project Specifications, drawings, documents, and data sheets to be generated and reviewed for typical refinery/ Fertilizer/ Chemical/Petrochemical projects.
• Candidate should be competent enough to provide cost effective, value addition suggestion adding value to EPC project Exposure to FEED, Detail Engineering, Pre-bid activities of projects Strong technical skills Knowledge of good engineering & global practices followed in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Control System & Automation in the Plant.
• Lead the Electrical Engineering activities and deliverables for the project and ensure timely completion to the required quality standards.
• Execute technical work for FEED/DD within designated Cost Time & Resource (CTR) scopes.
• Develop concept and feasibility studies for new and modification of existing facilities.
• Detailed understanding of the activities related to electrical systems design development including, Cable Scheduling and Routing Design (above and below ground), Lighting Design (including lighting design software application), Earthing Systems, Hazardous Area Classification, high, medium, and low voltage systems and Electrical Bulk Material Take-off.
• Development and checking of common electrical design drawings and deliverables including Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, Schematic/Connection Diagrams, General Electrical Equipment Layouts including Sub-station Layouts, Lighting Layouts, Earthing Layouts, Lightning Layouts, Cable & Drum Schedules & Bulk material requisitions.
• Provide technical assistance to SCM team for vetting technical offers from vendors. Cost optimisation through Value Engineering possibilities for the project. Preparation and approval of Variation statement, preparation of as built drawings. Shall be able to prepare Technical queries on vendor offers and TB.
• Knowledge of Local Statutory compliance related to process plants. Strong understanding of plant safety and able to implement safety in plant design.
• Fully familiar with international codes, standards and recommended practices standards like ANSI, IEEE, IEC, NEC, NEMA, UL, Aramco standards, etc.
• Strong Understanding of Inputs and interface with various disciplines such as Process, Electrical & Instrumentation, Civil & Structural, Mechanical - Static, Mechanical - Rotary, Piping and Planning, Commissioning / Start-up, Project management, Execution Etc.
• Application of Industry standard CAD systems for the production of 2-D electrical drawings and 3-D modelling systems, such as PDS, PDMS or SP3D, ETAP and PSCAD/EMTP.
• Should have site exposure with electrical interface with existing system and modification expertise in running plant switchgears/transformers/LT systems.
• Should be able to gauge and prepare Electrical work volumes and Execution methodology for Revamp projects.
