Job Description

You'll be primarily responsible for generating detailed technical drawings and schematics for electrical systems using AutoCAD 2D. Developing of precise electrical design for the fit-out projects as per the recommended codes and standards is part of your job profile.

KEY PROSPECTS

1. Prepare detailed electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts based on project specifications and engineer's instructions.

2. Create plans for electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, fire alarms, and communication networks. Revise them as deemed necessary.

3. Liaise with the site engineers and supervisors to ensure the designs meet technical requirements and industry standards.

4. Work in tandem with other departments, such as mechanical, plumbing, and civil teams, to ensure proper coordination and integration of electrical systems into the overall project design.

5. Prepare as-built drawings at the completion of construction, documenting any changes made during the construction process. Ensure that all drawings are stored and maintained in accordance with company standards and procedures.

6. Ensure that all electrical designs comply with local, state, and federal codes, safety regulations, and building standards and review and follow project specifications to ensure that all designs meet the required quality and performance standards.

7. Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to clarify details in the electrical designs, if necessary

8. Provide technical support to construction teams and contractors by interpreting electrical drawings and specificationsand assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues related to electrical designs during the construction phase.

3. Visit construction sites as needed to verify that electrical systems are being installed according to the design specifications

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, drafting, or a related field.

2. Sound knowledge of hte building codes and recommended standards of the local bodies such as DEWA, SEWA, ADDC, AADC, FEWA etc

3. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other computer-aided design software.

4. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.

8. Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and project teams.

9. Time management skills and the ability to meet project deadlines
