The Role

About the Role We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Draftsman to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing electrical design drawings and technical documentation for building projects, with a solid understanding of CAD standards and electrical systems. This role involves translating design concepts into clear, accurate drawings, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and industry standards. The Electrical Draftsman will be responsible for producing schematic diagrams, single-line diagrams, and load schedules, as well as developing layouts for lighting, power distribution, telecom, low-current systems, and fire alarm systems. The role requires close coordination with design staff, consultants, and other project stakeholders to ensure timely and precise delivery of technical drawings. Key Responsibilities o Prepare electrical design drawings in line with established CAD standards and project requirements. o Develop drawings based on engineering specifications and directions from the design team. o Draft layouts for LV systems, lighting and power distribution, telecom and low current systems, fire alarm systems, and emergency services. o Generate schematic riser diagrams, power single-line diagrams, and load schedules. o Coordinate with engineering and design staff to ensure technical accuracy and timely submissions. o Ensure drawings comply with authority requirements (DCD, DM, DDA, DEWA) and support submission processes.



Requirements

Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification. o Minimum 10 years of experience in an engineering consultancy or construction environment in the GCC region. o Proficiency in AutoCAD (latest versions); experience with BIM software is an advantage. o Strong knowledge of electrical systems in building construction and authority submission processes.
