Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical BIM Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As an Electrical BIM Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the electrical aspects of Building Information Modeling (BIM) projects from inception to completion. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all electrical systems within a construction project are accurately represented and integrated into the overall BIM model.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Develop and manage BIM models for electrical systems using industry-standard software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD MEP).
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of electrical designs and specifications within the BIM model.
• Coordinate clash detection and resolution for electrical systems with other disciplines (e.g., mechanical, structural).
• Generate 2D drawings and 3D models of electrical systems and components.
• Review and analyze electrical designs for compliance with project requirements and applicable codes and standards.
• Conduct model-based quantity takeoffs and assist in cost estimation for electrical systems.
• Facilitate coordination meetings and maintain clear communication with project team members.
• Provide technical support and training to junior staff members as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proven experience (X years) working as a BIM Coordinator or similar role in the construction or engineering industry.
• Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, etc.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, building codes, and construction practices.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) are a plus.
