Primary Functions
Responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems in the facility. Lead a team of technicians, ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Supervise and lead the electrical and instrumentation activities in the fabrication department, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to plan and schedule E&I activities. Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems in accordance with project requirements. Ensure proper documentation, including work packages, drawings, and as-built records, is maintained throughout the fabrication process. Monitor and control the progress of E&I works, identifying and resolving any issues or delays to ensure timely project delivery. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and implement corrective actions when necessary. Provide technical guidance and support to E&I personnel, ensuring their adherence to safe work practices and promoting a culture of safety. Collaborate with client representatives, vendors, and subcontractors to address E&I-related matters and maintain effective communication channels.
