The RoleJoin our team as EHS Officer for the Etisalat project in the UAE who will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations and Quality Management Standards (QMS) specific to the telecommunications industry. The role involves developing and implementing safety and quality procedures, conducting risk assessments, and leading audits to ensure project activities meet regulatory and Etisalat standards. Compliance Management: Develop, implement, and maintain EHS and QMS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations and standards.
Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments, inspections, and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards and non-conformities.
Training and Development: Provide training and support to employees on EHS and QMS practices, procedures, and regulations.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of EHS and QMS activities, including audits, inspections, incident reports, and compliance documentation. Prepare and present reports to management on performance, issues, and improvements.
Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in EHS and QMS practices, recommending and implementing changes to enhance safety, efficiency, and quality.
Incident Management: Investigate incidents, accidents, and non-conformities, and develop corrective and preventive action plans.
Coordination: Collaborate with management, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with EHS and QMS objectives and requirements.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor\'s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Quality Management, or a related field.
Experience:1-2 years of experience in EHS/QMS roles, preferably on Etisalat projects or similar Telecom projects
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as ISO 14001, ISO 9001, OSHA, or NEBOSH are preferred.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of EHS regulations, quality management standards, and risk management principles.
Skills: Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills; proficiency in using EHS/QMS software and tools.
Attention to Detail: Ability to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with strict quality standards.
Leadership: Capable of leading training sessions and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
