We are seeking a skilled and experienced EEG Technician to join our healthcare facility. As an EEG Technician, you will be responsible for performing electroencephalogram (EEG) tests on both pediatric and adult patients. The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting pediatric EEG tests, as well as working with adult patients. Knowledge and experience in electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies (NCS) is also required. Responsibilities: Perform routine and complex EEG tests on pediatric and adult patients according to established protocols and physician orders. Prepare patients for EEG procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety. Apply electrodes to specific locations on the patient's scalp, ensuring accurate placement. Operate EEG equipment and make adjustments as necessary to obtain optimal recordings. Monitor patients during EEG tests, observing for any abnormalities or complications. Document test results accurately and maintain detailed records of each patient's EEG findings. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to analyze EEG data and assist in the interpretation of test results. Maintain cleanliness and sterility of equipment and testing rooms. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding the EEG procedure and any necessary preparations. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and techniques in EEG testing and neurophysiology. Requirements: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an EEG Technician, preferably with experience in both pediatric and adult EEG testing. Proficiency in performing electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies (NCS) is essential. Possession of a valid DOH (Department of Health) exam passed or license, or willingness to transfer a DHA (Dubai Health Authority)/MOH (Ministry of Health) license to DOH. Strong knowledge of EEG equipment operation, electrode placement, and signal acquisition techniques. Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately document and maintain records. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Flexibility to work in various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
