Purpose of the position This position will play a vital role to underpin the business growth across the MENA region. This essential role will be critical in supporting end customers deliver success with their technology implementations within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). Duties and Responsibilities · Be a key contact for all Ministry's of Education (MOE), relevant parties and entities or officials within Governments throughout the region, by lobbying, driving advocacy and influencing policy enhancements to contribute to the vision of change across their respective education landscape. · Operate effectively across all segments of the Private and International K-12 and Higher Ed or Vocational Training landscapes supporting transformational plans for Edtech deployments and supporting the pre and post implementation process. · Recommend a suitable learning path for individual educators or communities of educators at the customer districts/region or agencies in order to accelerate Edtech adoptions through the sustained, effective use of SMART products (eg: referral to training services, assistance with curriculum integration, long term and continuous PD planning, creation of tutorials and online resources as required) · Develop and deliver support programmes and events for Regional ICT Advisory Agencies, Local Education Authorities (LEAs), School Directors, School SLTs with the goal of building awareness, influencing action and fostering active professional learning communities. (eg: user groups, teacher forums, proof of concepts, ICT conferences and workshops etc...) · Be seen as the trusted advisor, build and maintain strong relationships and partnerships to support revenue growth and drive influence across all stakeholders to ensure SMART retains brand preference in market. · Build credibility with esteemed pedagogical knowledge and understanding of global trends, using a consultative approach to end customers to drive deep engagements and dependency on the SMART solutions. · Knowledge of competitive landscape and solutions, equally strong understanding on the key differentiators or complimentary solutions to enhance the SMART solutions with end customers. · Provide and articulate market knowledge and customer dynamics into the sales funnel to better improve quality of understanding on the commercial landscape and how that perhaps impacts the pipeline of the business. · Co-ordinate and work with the SMART go-to-market channels and necessary reseller partners supporting the pre-sales pipeline and bringing the SMART value to the end customer post sales. · Liaising with SMART's Marketing Department, demand gen teams to support the outreach process and initiatives with the local Distributor on key contacts, opportunities, educational issues and market information. · Assist with the strategic planning, development and execution of Marketing activities, new product launches/announcements designed to support the growth of the business throughout the region (example. identify and organize regional briefing programs for LEAs, attend/present at exhibitions both regionally and nationally, provide support for SMART's Exemplary Schools and Exemplary Educator (Ambassador) programs). · Work with Marketing and Product Management teams at SMART to develop resources and provide training so that Local Partners are capable of accurately and competently representing SMART, its products and messaging effectively within the education market (eg: market specific presentations, education messaging, online videos and tutorials) and supporting partner enablement when required. · Develop programs to drive the creation of local content available for our software platforms (i.e. content creation seminars, lesson of the week, various local and international publishers) · Drive the SCTC and certified trainers to make training available in the entire region and to have SMART training compliant and certified for educators across the region. · Attend, moderate and participate in assigned forums and seminars to ensure a strong awareness of current and prospective educational trends and issues (e.g. online forums, meetings, seminars, conferences, blogs, etc.) · Identify priority districts/market opportunities and local sources of funding for classroom technology and work with SMART's channels to ensure that local purchasing authorities are aware of how these sources can be used to fund ICT procurement. · Collaborate internally with cross functions with colleagues in training and product management to ensure that information from end-users is communicated through the proper channels to the appropriate departments at SMART and SMART's Local Distributor. · Performing other duties as required
Education and work experience · Be a qualified teacher, certified by a recognized post secondary institution, with a minimum of 3-5 years of classroom teaching experience at the primary or secondary level and in good standing within Ministries of Education in Arabic speaking countries · Demonstrate a true passion for classroom technology and its ability to transform the teaching and learning process. · Possess excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and be able to adapt these skills to audiences of varying sizes and experience with ICT. · Possess sound knowledge of local education issues and pedagogic principles at all levels in education. · Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and/or collaboratively on multiple projects with variable timelines. · Be able to communicate fluently (oral and written) in Arabic and English andatory with French a plus · Experience working with interactive technology form factors, education software, or similar technologies in a classroom or cloud environment. · Experience working at an advisory level either within a school or a local/regional education authority environment. · Established relationships with school or district administrators in local/regional school districts. · Experience mapping or correlating instructional materials to local, regional or national standards. · Commercial awareness and skills (i.e project management, budgeting, strategic planning, marketing etc...). · High energy, dynaimc self-motivated and driven to succeed · A self-starter and proactive team -player · Highly resourceful and market savvy when need arises to overcome barriers and objections. · Excellent objection handling and negtiation abilities based on prior successful experience
