Job Overview The eCommerce Marketplace & Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day marketplace operations, managing retailer accounts, and driving the overall success of the platform. This role will involve managing product listings, ensuring operational efficiency, and fostering strong relationships with retailers across the UAE and globally. The ideal candidate will have a background in both eCommerce operations and retailer account management.
Key Responsibilities
Retailer Account Management: Manage and nurture relationships with retailers, ensuring a smooth onboarding process and consistent support for their products on the platform. Marketplace Operations: Oversee the entire eCommerce operation, including product listings, pricing, promotions, and performance metrics. Inventory & Supply Chain Management: Coordinate with retailers and the supply chain team to ensure timely product availability, delivery, and quality control across all product categories. Optimization of Marketplace Performance: Analyze marketplace data, customer feedback, and KPIs to continually improve operational efficiency and the customer experience. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing, sales, and logistics teams to ensure alignment on retailer promotions, customer acquisition strategies, and fulfillment processes. Problem-solving & Issue Resolution: Address operational and technical issues that arise with the platform, working closely with the technical support team to resolve problems swiftly. Revenue Growth & Strategy Execution: Drive strategies to enhance product visibility, increase sales, and achieve revenue growth, while identifying new opportunities for business expansion. Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure that all products meet the platform's quality standards and legal compliance for international shipments and deliveries. Retailer Onboarding: Lead the integration of new retailers onto the platform, managing their listings and supporting them through every stage of the sales cycle. Customer Satisfaction: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by collaborating with customer support teams to address any issues related to product delivery, returns, and retailer interactions.
Qualifications 4+ years of experience in eCommerce operations, account management, or a related field. Strong understanding of online marketplace dynamics, including product listings, inventory management, and logistics. Proven experience in managing multiple retailer accounts, driving their growth on an eCommerce platform. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with both retailers and internal teams. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines. Proficient in using eCommerce platforms, CRM software, and other digital tools related to marketplace management. Fluent in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus).
Good to Have Prior experience in the UAE eCommerce market or managing international shipments. Exposure to managing relationships with luxury brands or smaller niche retailers. Knowledge of the latest digital marketing techniques to optimize product listings. Familiarity with logistics and warehousing practices related to eCommerce.
