Ecommerce Manager (m/f/d)

Job Description

Our Client, a leading luxury ecommerce distributor is a seeking a results-driven and strategic E-Commerce Manager to lead and manage our online platforms.This role is instrumental in developing and executing our e-commerce strategy, including driving online sales growth, onsite product optimization including the product range, merchandising, pricing and promotions, inventory management and enhancing the user experience.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of e-commerce category management, e-commerce tools including Shopify and Google Analytics, and experience collaborating with internal digital marketing, technical and operations functions.Your Responsibilities:Planning and Strategy:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive e-commerce strategy for each platform that aligns with the company's overall brand, revenue and profitability objectives.
  • Build a scalable ecosystem to drive sustainable e-commerce growth and profitability.
  • Cultivate a collaborative environment and facilitate cross-departmental discussions to discuss e-commerce and marketing strategy, opportunities and challenges, across online platforms to drive execution of the strategy and discuss actionable solutions.
  • Deliver regular performance insights and detailed reports on key metrics to management for informed decision-making.
Budgeting and Margins:
  • Prepare annual sales forecasts, revenue and margin-profitability targets, and yearly inventory purchase plans, and collaborate on marketing budget creation.
  • Identify and monitor, alongside digital marketing function, e-commerce key performance indicators including platform traffic, click-through-rate, conversion rates, and return-on investment, and revenue and average item and order value.
  • Analyze website data to enhance customer experience, inform strategy, and propose new offerings.
Website Management:
  • Analyse competitor websites in the market to determine strategies and trends in products, pricing and marketing
  • Manage product pricing, including promotions, against brand and competitor websites, to maximise conversion rates.
  • Maximize onsite product structure and content for conversions, including navigation, descriptions, rich content, and UX/UI enhancements.
  • Ensure accurate inventory syncing and product updates through collaboration with operations and technical teams.
  • Oversee platform performance, including issue escalation, resolution, and third-party SLA management.
  • Partner with technical teams to maintain and enhance e-commerce software infrastructure.
Brand Development:
  • Identify product gaps and create brand acquisition plans to expand offerings.
  • Collaborate with the business development team to on-board new brand and product offerings, plan seasonal inventories and maximize sell-through rates.
  • Build relationships with brands and suppliers to drive sales, PR, and marketing efforts.
Marketing and Campaign Management:
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to craft a comprehensive multichannel marketing strategy for the platforms and individual brands.
  • Maintain regular commercial calendars including brand launches and promotions for use across all marketing channels.
  • Collaborate where required with digital marketing function to deliver digital ad campaigns across platforms like Google, Meta Suite, LinkedIn, and Strava, and support review of the reporting and analytics to optimize to campaigns and sales. Support the monitoring of marketing budgets, ensuring cost-effective ad spending to maximize ROI.
Operations and Customer Service:
  • Coordinate with operations teams to align stock volume and logistics solutions. Establish key performance indicators and service levels for customer service across all channels, ensuring top-tier support.
Your Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in e-commerce
  • Strong expertise in e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.) and ERP tools
  • Proficiency in analytics tools (Google Analytics, Tableau) to drive decision-making.
  • Excellent understanding of UX/UI principles and website optimization techniques.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth through online platforms.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Experience in hands-on implementing digital marketing strategies within marketing tools (Google Ads, Meta Suite, etc.) if preferred but not essential. Skills and Competencies
