Job Title: Accountant

Location: UAE/Sharjah

About the Company:

A company specialized in e-commerce.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor daily sales, discounts, returns, and payment collection transactions.
• Perform accounting tasks for both retail and e-commerce operations.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly closing processes for retail financial statements.
• Conduct daily activities including account reconciliation, revenue recognition, bank reconciliation, and expense recording.
• Prepare and submit accounting reports promptly and accurately.
• Maintain high-quality and accurate accounting information by logging data into the system.
• Assist in the annual audit by reviewing payment reconciliation and records in the Odoo system.
• Review and manage petty cash transactions monthly.
• Coordinate accounting close procedures for both e-commerce and retail business units.
• Analyze and prepare inventory accounting adjustments for sold retail items.
• Manage rent accounting analysis and schedules for retail sites.
• Conduct periodic stock counts to ensure the accuracy of inventory records.
• Review and analyze daily processes for B2B and e-commerce transactions.
• Maintain detailed accounting procedures, reconciliations, journal entries, and documentation.
• Communicate with store managers to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting and using the Odoo system.
• Proven experience in retail and e-commerce accounting roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
