Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Ecommerce Accountant to join our team. The Ecommerce Accountant will be responsible for managing all accounting activities related to our ecommerce operations, including handling refunds, tax compliance, sales orders, invoice generation, and maintaining stock reports. This role requires a strong understanding of ecommerce platforms, financial regulations, and exceptional organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial transactions related to ecommerce activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Manage and process customer refunds efficiently, ensuring timely resolution and accurate record-keeping.
- Ensure all ecommerce sales are compliant with local, state, and federal tax regulations. Prepare and file necessary tax returns and documentation.
- Monitor and reconcile sales orders from various ecommerce platforms, ensuring accurate recording of revenue and expenses.
- Generate and manage invoices for ecommerce sales, ensuring they are sent to customers promptly and accurately.
- Maintain up-to-date stock reports, tracking inventory levels, and ensuring accurate accounting of stock movements.
- Prepare and present regular financial reports related to ecommerce activities, including sales performance, revenue trends, and inventory valuation.
- Assist with internal and external audits related to ecommerce transactions and inventory.
- Work closely with IT and ecommerce teams to ensure seamless integration of financial data between ecommerce platforms and accounting systems.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of ecommerce accounting operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or relevant certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on ecommerce.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Focus) and ecommerce platforms (Noon, Amazon). Advanced Excel skills required.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and ecommerce operations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial records and transactions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
