Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Earthwork Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, planning, and overseeing all earthwork operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with project specifications. We are looking for a candidate with experience in, or familiarity with, the Dubai Municipality soil supply process, and someone who can join immediately.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage earthwork activities, including excavation, removal, movement, grading, and soil compaction. Ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and project timelines. Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, address challenges, and ensure safety protocols are followed. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to ensure seamless execution of earthworks. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including daily reports and progress updates. Conduct site surveys and analyze soil conditions to support project planning. Develop excavation, grading, and earthwork balance plans to optimize efficiency and cost. Assess and manage soil properties for use as fill material or subgrade preparation. Oversee the selection and operation of heavy equipment, such as bulldozers, excavators, and compactors. Perform quality control testing, including soil compaction and stability assessments. Monitor erosion and sediment control measures to minimize environmental impact.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in earthwork or civil construction projects. Strong understanding of earthwork techniques, soil mechanics, and geotechnical principles. Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, or other earthwork modeling tools. Ability to address challenges such as unexpected soil conditions or equipment malfunctions. Knowledge of local environmental and construction regulations. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
