Job Description

Role As a Project Driver you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of personnel, equipment, and materials within the NEOM project site and surrounding areas. Your role is vital in supporting the smooth execution of project activities by ensuring timely deliveries and transportation in line with project schedules.

Responsibilities

Safely drive and transport project staff, contractors, and equipment to and from designated locations within the site and surrounding areas. Ensure all deliveries and pickups are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.

Perform routine inspections of vehicles, ensuring they are in safe working condition. Report any mechanical issues or damages promptly and ensure the vehicles are always ready for use, with proper documentation and safety checks in place.

Assist project teams by providing logistical support for material deliveries and pickups, ensuring that equipment and supplies are transported to required project sites as needed. Coordinate with project managers and supervisors to maintain the schedule.

Ensure timely transportation and deliveries according to project schedules. Be proactive in communicating any delays or challenges in order to adjust and avoid disruptions to project activities.

Maintain accurate records of transportation routes, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance logs. Ensure all trip reports, delivery receipts, and other necessary documentation are completed and submitted according to company protocols.

Ensure compliance with all local road safety laws, transportation regulations, and project-specific guidelines. Maintain valid driver's license and any required certifications.

Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other departments to coordinate transportation needs for the project. Provide on-the-ground assistance when required, ensuring logistical operations are carried out smoothly.

In the case of accidents, breakdowns, or other emergencies, take immediate action to secure the vehicle, notify the relevant authorities, and assist in resolving the situation with minimal disruption to the project.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a professional driver, with a strong understanding of vehicle operation and logistics.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Specialized vehicle certification (e.g., heavy vehicles, commercial transport) is a plus.

Familiarity with the region and the ability to navigate through NEOM's project areas safely and efficiently.

Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting minor issues. Ability to conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues.

Good communication skills in English (spoken and written), with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team of professionals.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and adhere to tight project schedules.

High awareness of safety procedures and regulations, ensuring that all transportation activities are conducted safely and without incident.
