Job Description

Dalya, a luxury fashion brand, that deeply care of its timeless elegance and unparalleled craftsmanship, is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Dress Tailor/ Pattern Maker/ Couturier specialized in Evening Dresses to join our team on a full-time basis. As an integral part of our design and production process, you will be responsible for transforming our creative concepts into precise, functional patterns that meet the highest standards of luxury fashion.

Responsibilities

• Pattern Development: Create accurate patterns based on designers' sketches and technical specifications.
• Draping: Set the basic on mannequin do tucking and finishing for the dress.
• Adaptations & Adjustments: Modify patterns as needed to meet fabric, fit, and style requirements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the design and production team to ensure seamless translation of patterns into finished garments.
• Fittings & Alterations: Attend sample fittings and make necessary adjustments to achieve the perfect fit and design.
• Fabric Expertise: Provide guidance on fabric selection and construction techniques during the pattern-making process.
• Archive Maintenance: Maintain an organized pattern archive for future reference and use.
• Luxury Standards and Quality Control: Uphold Dalya's standards of quality and craftsmanship in every project.

Requirements

• Experience: Proven track record as a Pattern Maker in luxury fashion or couture.
• Garment Construction Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction techniques, fit, and fabric behavior.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional precision and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility: Ability to work on-demand with variable hours based on project timelines.
• Location Knowledge: Familiarity with luxury fashion standards and the UAE market is a plus.
• Technical Skills (Optional): Proficient in both manual and digital pattern drafting techniques, with experience in CAD software (e.g., Gerber, Lectra).

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree or certification in Fashion Design, Pattern Making, or a related field.
• Experience working with corsetry, intricate designs, and preferrably high-end brands.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a team.
