For our client, a major player in the maritime works, energy, and oil & gas sectors, we are seeking an Offshore Methods Engineer.
This position is to support the installation of a seawater desalination plant as part of a marina project in Saudi Arabia.
The mission is to start at the end of July and will last approximately 18 months, consisting of 4 months in Cassis (near Marseille) and 14 months in Saudi Arabia.
The scope of the project encompasses the installation of 2 seawater intake structures, one HDPE diffuser, the recovery of 3 MTBM offshore and dredging in coral limestone for a total volume of 10000m3.
YOUR MISSIONS: In charge of developing the project's offshore construction methods for dredging, disposal of excavated material and backfilling + soil leveling (foundations) Works closely with the Design Manager and the Project Construction/Installation Manager to ensure the development of efficient, cost effective and safe dredging methods. Analyses the risks associated with each proposed method, actively participates in design, construction and risk reviews Writes/coordinates the method documentation (method statement, procedure, drawings, calculation notes, list of installation aids, etc.) Participation in explanation meetings with clients or partners Ability to propose and adapt Moves on site, for operations PROFIL : Master degree and at least 3 years of experience in a similar position Dredging, backfilling Seabed preparation and leveling Operations with work barge nearshore Offshore installation/operations methods or management Experience in an international environment Background in the Offshore Oil & Gas industry or in the installation of marine intake and outfall structures/pipelines. Fluent English required Proficiency in French and/or Arabic is a plus
