Job Description

Fire Safety Design:

Create detailed drawings for fire safety systems, including fire exits, sprinklers, alarms, smoke vents, and fireproof materials in construction, manufacturing, or industrial environments.

Compliance with Fire Safety Standards:

Ensure that all designs adhere to local, national, and international fire safety codes, regulations, and standards (e.g., NFPA, local fire codes, ISO standards, etc.).

Collaboration with Fire Engineers:

Work closely with fire safety engineers to incorporate required fire prevention and suppression systems into designs. Integrate fire escape routes, fire alarms, fire extinguishers, and other safety features into the overall design.

Safety System Layouts:

Design layouts for fire exits, emergency lighting, fire alarms, smoke detectors, and fire suppression systems within building plans or other related projects.

Risk Assessments:

Assist in conducting risk assessments to identify fire hazards and make recommendations for design improvements based on safety findings.

Drawing Revisions:

Revise and update fire safety drawings based on feedback from safety officers, regulatory bodies, and other project team members. Ensure that all safety aspects of the design meet the latest safety regulations.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintained detailed records of fire safety drawings, system specifications, and revisions. Ensure proper documentation for compliance with fire safety audits and inspections.

Quality Control:

Review designs for any fire safety compliance issues, ensuring that fire prevention measures are not compromised. Regular checks on the quality and accuracy of drawings related to fire safety are conducted.

Code Knowledge:

Keep up to date with changes in fire safety regulations, building codes, and best practices, ensuring that designs are always in compliance with the most current standards.
