Job Description

Job Summary:

The Draughtsman is responsible for creating accurate technical drawings, plans, and blueprints based on specifications provided by engineers, architects, or designers. They ensure that designs comply with industry standards and project requirements while assisting in modifications and updates as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed

technical drawings, plans, and schematics

using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks). Interpret

architectural, engineering, and design specifications

to produce precise drawings. Modify and revise existing drawings as per

project requirements

and stakeholder feedback. Ensure all drawings comply with

industry standards, regulations, and company guidelines

. Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project needs. Maintain accurate

records and documentation

of all drawings and revisions. Assist in conducting

site visits

to gather data and verify design feasibility. Identify potential design

conflicts or issues

and propose solutions. Keep up to date with advancements in

drafting techniques and industry standards

Requirements & Qualifications:

Diploma or Degree

in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Proficiency in

CAD software

(AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or other relevant tools). Strong

technical knowledge

of construction methods, materials, and engineering principles. Attention to detail and the ability to create

precise and accurate

drawings. Good understanding of

building codes, industry regulations, and standards

. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Excellent

problem-solving and analytical skills

. Effective communication and time-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in

mechanical, civil, electrical, or architectural drafting

(depending on industry). Familiarity with

BIM (Building Information Modeling)

and 3D modeling software.
